The Trillion-Dollar Economic Machine: Wall Street, venture capital, and national economic strategies are deeply hooked on the AI growth narrative. Trillions of dollars in market valuations depend on the public staying wildly optimistic. Major news outlets, reliant on corporate advertising and economic stability narratives, are structurally discouraged from framing a massive economic engine as an existential threat.
The Complexity Barrier: Real digital danger doesn't look like a sci-fi movie villain; it looks like lines of obscure code or hidden parameter distributions. It's difficult to package the mechanics of dual-use code optimization into a neat, 30-second evening news segment.
